Whatever you do, buy or rent the new extended version...its like 40 minutes to an hour longer, and is a much better movie than the hacked up original release version.....

yep, it's hard to look back on those movies after being spoiled by the eye candy of SPR and BoB.
but it's a classic none-the-less and one of my favorites as a kid. |

Yep. Made back in the day before realism was invented.
 But it's still one of my favorite movies. In fact I'm 7 minutes into "The Longest Day." I almost grabbed "The Big Red One." |

It is a classic. But yes going back and watching it now does suck as now I know what the panzers look like.
