A bit talky but not bad, Directed by the producer of Lock, Stock & Two Smoking Barrels and Snatch; grittier but not nearly as stylish or entertaining as either.
Be sure to check out Sexy Beast for chilling performances by Ben Kingsley and Ian McShane. Oh, and The Long Good Friday with Bob Hoskins (and a very young Pierce Brosnan) which kind of resurrected the whole British gangster genre. And while we're at it, The Fourth Protocol, again with Brosnan, Joanna Cassidy and Michael Caine. |
