For the first time...awesome movie. Sad to say it took so long to see.

You will never look at a cornfield or a ball point pen the same way ever again.

A great reason to hate Sharon Stone... her performance in that movie (though it may not reflect her real-life persona) made me despise that c*nt. Followed closely by James Woods.

Great movie. One of many Robert DeNiro greats. I also liked Don Rickles in that.

Yeah, Stone was repulsive and repellant in that role, but I guess that's an actor's job. She more than makes up for it, though, in "The Quick and the Dead" --  the only film I've ever really liked her in.

Sharon Stone's acting talent began and ended when she opened her legs on screen.

Casino great movie.  I know 3 people in that movie.  Jimmy's kid is my friends son.  He plays a pit boss in it too.
I used to work in the casinos here in NV and well it is kinda funny how true and false it was at times.

iirc, it was based on a real life story.

One of my all time movie favorites.

One thing, and the only thing, I don't like about this movie, is that Martin Scorsese basically cloned "Goodfella", with same voice-over narrative, same set of actors acting almost the same way, same story arc, even the same usage of period music.  I had a feeling that he wasn't even trying to make a different movie.

... Unfortunately, more often than not, a wealth older guy will get sucked into thinking he needs a woman in his life like the mistake the Sam Rothstein made in Casino. Then once she sets her hooks, he spends a good deal of the remainder of his life either bleeding to death are trying to conceive how best to dispose of the body and not get caught. Sad but true.

... Fortunately no, but I've seen it happen to middle-aging guys with nice incomes. I'm rather pragmatic when it comes to women - they have to bring something to the party other than pie.
