What, in your opinion are some of the best and worst sequels to a movie? It doesn't have to be the second in a series... it can be a third, forth fifth, etc "installment".

The Best doesn't necessarily have to be better than the original, just one that is nearly as strong as the original.

Post them as such:

Best:
- Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back
- Lord of the Rings 2 and 3 (more 2 though)
- Dawn and Day of the Dead (being "sequels" to Night of the Living Dead)
- X-men 2

Worst:
- Beverly Hills Cop 3
- Starship Troopers 2
- Jaws 3 and 4
- Batman and Robin

Best:
- Children of Dune was a pretty good sequel to Dune (even though it was a TV movie-series)

Worst:
- Beastmaster 2: Through the Portal of Time (not that the original was anything special, although as a kid I found it entertaining)
- The Robocop sequels were pretty rotten
- Alien Resurrection & Alien3
- American Werewolf in Paris
