I went through the pages and did not see this anywhere, another forum i visit has one of these running and i heard about all kinds of stuff to check out as well as discuss movies that you love or hate.

The whole idea is post what you watched and few comments about it.

Rise of planet of the apes (2011) -  first time I've seen this version, its was decent, not great but not terrible

Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Alpha - this is a short film that ties into the new future soldier game. Its available for sale, and ive heard free on xbox live and psn as well.  - This is a solid action packed short film with lots of violence.

The Widow on Prime.

Kate Beckinsale is the grieving widow that thinks she sees her husband alive on a news clip during a riot, three years after he died.

She then starts the hunt for her husband in Africa.

It was ok, a lot of plot twists and turns

The Highwaymen on Netflix.

Kevin Costner and Woody Harrelson hunt Bonnie and Clyde.

The Equalizer 2

Denzel is again excellent as Robert McCall.  This sequel is as good as the first. Good story with lots of twists and turns.

trivia:  this is the only time in Washington's long career that he has done the same character in two movies

Clint Eastwood's latest - The Mule

he plays an old fart, similar to his character in Gran Torino.

some humor, no gun play/over the top action scenes or car chases.
just an ok crime drama with underlying family drama subplot

The Man Who Killed Hitler and Then the Bigfoot pretty good quirky fantasy movie and the guy who played a young Sam Elliot does a fine job.

Us

Great score, beautifully shot, plot was an absolute mess. Made less sense the more they tried to explain. No guns either, people running around in a survival scenario with baseball bats and fireplace pokers!

Watching Traitors on Netflix but still scratching my head on a scene from the 1940s where they show a Glock and 1911 with Novack type sights and accessory rail on the dust cover.

Aquaman

Graphically as good as Avatar and some really great action.  My whole family liked it more than we thought, actually watched it twice in 24 hours.  Very much like a Marvel movie, if you didn’t know your Marvel/DC heroes you’d have thought it a pre-infinity war movie...like my wife.

finished Hanna on Prime

I thought the ending was weak, but up until then it kept my interest.

GG Alin Savage 92 South tour best of worth watching just for the experience and the unexpected brawls with fans in Texas after one takes a swing at him  one dude even follows him backstage to beat his ass after GG jerked his girlfriend on stage and hits her man we need more performers like him instead of the pussies we have today .

caught up on the Grand Tour, found out it was the series finale

watched a zombie series on Netflix - Black Summer.
it started out promising, showing characters in interesting end-of-the-world situations, but the ending got really stupid (especially the gun play)

watched the latest season of Bosch.  It was good.

watched season two of The OA - a weird dimension-jumping series

watched 'The Domestics' on Prime.  Something wipes out a large portion of the US population (or they just disappear) and a married couple it trying to travel cross country to check on her parents.  They have to travel through territories run by lawless gangs to get there.  It had a 'The Purge' kind of vibe to it.
it was ok

The Highway Men with Costner and Harrelson as two retired Texas Rangers tasked with stopping Bonnie and Clyde.

watched The Society on Netflix.  A teen drama with a twist.  High School students from an affluent small town go on a class trip and when they return everyone in the town is gone, and there is no way to leave town. The storylines have all the  cultural hit points - politics, domestic violence, abortion, and gun control to mix in with the teen relationship dramas.
And they try to figure out where they are and why everyone is gone.

second season of The Rain - it was ok

Rim of the World - a group of young teens attend summer camp.  After camp starts, an alien invasion occurs and the small group tries to save the world.  It was entertaining, some humor and alien/end-of-the-world action

Yeah, I'll get Season 8 Blu-Ray as soon as I reasonably can.

Mr. Brooks.

I hated Demi Moore’s character because she seemed like a worn-out cliche, and I don’t like her as an actress, but I otherwise loved the film. Kevin Costner as the title character, and William Hurt as his murderous Id were fun to watch.

General Idi Amin Dada this documentary staring the black Hitler himself is a a chilling self portrait of one of the most brutal dictators of the late 20th century who today would've been glorified by todays media and Hollywood.

watched the Umbrella Academy, based on a superhero comic book.  About a group of kids that have assorted superpowers, adopted and raised as a family.  They all come together years later as adults with all their disfunctional/ emotional baggage. It was entertaining, I'll check out season two.

When They See Us - the story of the Central Park 5, a group of teens falsely accused and convicted of a brutal rape and attempted murder of a jogger in Central Park in the 90s.

Bohemian Rhapsody - the story of Freddie Mercury and Queen that was nominated for many Academy Awards.  It was well done, a good movie.

The Other Side of the Wind | Official Trailer [HD] | Netflix

I tried to make it through this film last night, and will probably go back and finish it soon. It's a lot to digest in one sitting, and truly a bizarre film to follow.

Dark season 2 - A German small town that has time travelers and a lot of hidden personal secrets.

The Confession Tapes - a documentary series about police cases where the suspects give confessions to crimes they did not commit.  Apparently it happens more than you think and they are convicted on these confessions

Kolberg - 1945

Kolberg is a 1945 German historical film directed by Veit Harlan. One of the last films of the Third Reich, it was intended as a Nazi propaganda piece to bolster the will of the German population to resist the Allies.

The wife took me to watch The Lion King today.

I’d say it was more or less a remake using all CGI.

The design for Scar made him look a little methy. The cartoonish hula and dress in drag and ninja Rafiki were left out along with the coconut song.

It was pretty good, I just think the original was better due to the voice work.

They'll Love Me When I'm Dead | Official Trailer [HD] | Netflix

I finally finished 'The Other Side of the Wind', and it was unlike any film I've seen. The documentary about Orson Welles and the film he spent the last years of his life trying to finish was as interesting as the film itself. Check them out on Netflix if you're so inclined.

How the West Was Won, tv series with James Arness. INSP channel has been running them lately.  I understand it’s almost a cult thing in Europe.
