'71 Bus - "kombi" had it for about 12 years.  Spent way to much on it over the years.

It's a driver, eventually I'd like an early 60's to do a full restore on...safari camper.

Had a 69 beetle. Loved it. Got a 4 seater EMPI Sporster rusting at a friends place that needs a donor car. Had a Porsche 914 2.0 too. Love em!!!!

I've had a few.  59' and 72' beetles.  Currenty have a 69' in baja style with fiberglass front end and roll cage that I picked up for $200.
The guy I bought it from said the transmission was out when he bought it and he never got around to fixing it.  As soon as I got it home, I pulled the motor and found that there was no clutch disk installed!  I threw one in and got it running and it shifts nice and tight.

Always wanted one but the prices around here are crazy.  Wanted a 1972 Super Beetle and an old (not sure of year anymore) 23-window bus.

I liked the pre 68 bugs, I always hated the looks of the Super beetles with their round bumpers. My dad had a 63, and a 67. I learned to drive a stick on the 67. It was tan with a black interior. I always liked the black bugs with the red interiors....

Currently a '64 baja with a little bit hotter than stock engine.  Hopefully soon that will be traded for a notch and a street bug(still working out the deal, not sure on years but the bug will be pre-66).  After that I've got a 2L type IV I'm going to drop into that notch, with either high compression or a turbo setup if I can fit it under the decklid.  Hoping to push at least 130 without the turbo, maybe 160 with.  Found a company that sells alot of fiberglass panels, and another company with air ride kits to get her down lown.  Narrow the beam 4", drop spindles, maybe some Empi 8 spokes with lo pro's, and a nice big sticker of the bubble head guy pissing on a Honda symbol on both rear windows.

Bugs; '60, '61, '66, (1st one I drove and only one I wish I still had) and a '72 Super Beetle.
If I had the '66 now, I'd have more $ in my pocket.   Stay safe

I had a 73 bug, Loved that thing, Had a souped up DP 1800cc motor. I use to race it around. If the mexician ones werent so expensive, id have a new one (have to have old chasis to retro fit the body and running gear from mexico onto.etc etc).
