After years of getting ragged on I have to say I dont mind having a 4cyl. Jeep.
Last fill up I got 22 mpg with a normal of 20 (driving light on the gas and the speed limit do to fuel costs)

Whoever gave you shit for driving a 4cyl. jeep...tell them to fuck off.
Of course, once you change your suspension & tires & differential...your gas mileage will suck.  

Those things are torque monsters though.  My buddies 94' wrangler (4cyl./5spd.) has won a few pull-offs with some pretty big V8 trucks.  The stunned look on their faces is priceless!  

Plus, It'll even IDLE up hills like that--->     /  

Do not underestimate the Power of the 4....
