Looking at fixing up a late 60's early 70's f100.  Started looking into engine stands and have read some really bad reviews.  I'd like to not break the bank but I also want quality.  What do you guys use in your shops?

Everything is about the same and suck untill you get a crank driven or electric gear drive, and you will pay a buck or two for those.

Buy one with a drip pan, or an option for one.

4 wheels is better than 3.

I have a Matco 4 wheel gear head engine stand. I have worked on Duramax engines on mine. Pretty solid, I think they are around $200.

All of that,  don't even look at the 3 wheeled ones.

4 wheels, U shaped base not 4 legs. Get a metal drain pain that will sit across the base. Get the highest capacity you can afford.

No info about this particular Omega Lift model but it looks like a good one. Avoid a folding model. If you need to they knock down quick enough.
