Well boys, we let the old truck thread slip into the archive, so I figured I would start a new one.  Maybe we can have this one pinned.

Nice.  Specs?

I'm thinking of 20x10 BMF Reprs on mine either leveled with 33s or a 4" Cognito and 35s.  Also had my eye on Hammerhead bumpers lately.

Had the luck of getting to walk around,  measure,  look,  criticize etc several trucks prior to doing mine.  I also hang out over at DuraMax forums, and looked over a bunch of builds.  Decided on a 8" with 37s. 20x10 wheels and kept it 12.5 wide.  (I've always been a big fan of tall and narrow... I guess I'm old)

Here's my truck. It was super clean when I bought it. I use it for bumming around, doing side work, and hauling toys around. It is a turd but it starts every time, does what I ask, and IMO looks good doing it.

This is what it looked like a few months after I bought it.

And here it is as of today. It's dirty as hell, but I did get a leveling kit installed and just put on some nice General Grabbers for winter. Needs window tint on the front windows then I'll call it "done".

Got my tank and box painted and in. Eventually I'll get around to a level and tires.

Took her to Texas last week, only had to buy fuel every ~2200 miles.

my 1976 F150.  Has a 300/6 and a NP435 4spd manual with a 7:1 granny first.  Was bought by my grandfather brand new - made at the old Ford plant in San Jose so its a total california truck.  I inherited it from him a long time ago now.  The paint job is genuine horrible earl schieb so I have enhanced it a bit.  the paintball splats are from vintage ~35yr old oil based paintballs.  I've driven it cross country a few times

any bumper sticker referencing a place is somewhere that I've been with that truck

This is my dream right here! I want an 80's K30 CC so bad!

My fire dept has one but it's a 2wd ex-USAF truck on loan from the Forestry Dept. I wish it was ours and I'd be bidding on it at a surplus auction!

My new company gave me a work truck

2016 F150.  XLT, Crew Cab, 3.5L Ecoboost, 4x4.
Pretty nice truck, but the rear view camera is already out with under 200 miles on it.  I'll follow up with a picture.

That is so badass.  Tough, dependable, and simple in design.  One of the best trucks ever made.

They can be found and patience pays off, it did so with me.

I had a K30 Camper Special dually from 1989 to 1997 and like a fool, I traded into a " then new " first year Jeep TJ.

A move I've regretted ever since.

Look at local auctions, govt surplus sites and don't forget to search CL add under the C30 heading. Some people who are unaware of the model designation, list the 1 ton 4WD trucks as C30, instead of K30.

Mine was mis labeled as such in it's CL add and I believe it's one of the reasons it wasn't sold sooner.

Good luck with your quest, they are awesome trucks.
