I work as a service manager at an extremely busy shop. We currently use smart-sheet for scheduling, quick-books for invoices, and handwritten work orders. The system works but it is rather clunky I'm looking for a program that I can schedule with and put the work order into and my techs can pull it up on an Application via tablet or cell phone. Put whatever info or parts they need, and then generate an invoice. Also i would like this to be able to integrate with quick-books. This May sound like I'm looking to get out of my job and in some ways I am because I am currently the only one handling internet and phone sales as well which is my hired position the service manager Is an added Bonus  that I didn't want but lack of bodies has forced it upon me. Am i dreaming or is there a such a thing out there.

Currently Working 2 full-time jobs at once Need to simplify.

You want Mitchel Manager. It will more than pay for itself. We use it for scheduling, billing, parts inventory and ordering. You name it and it does it.

We used Reynolds and Reynolds. Not the green screen version but the new one.

Auto soft is the easiest DMS I've used, Reynolds and Reynolds is the best I've used. They both do parts, service, accounting, scheduling, and invoicing. I've not seen either linked to a tablet or smart phone though.

I worked at 3 busy dealers and worked as a service adviser for about 5 years, and a technician for 5 as well, so take what I say with a grain of salt.  I used R&R, ADP, and DMS for the duration of my time as an adviser and used DMS for my time as a technician.  For terms of how easy each was to use, I have to say DMS takes the cake.  You can create an RO in seconds and adding lines was easy.  Also the scheduling is pretty straight forward as well with the ability to make an appointment, order parts against it as necessary, then create it as a repair order is nice.  Also using it as a tech for notes is simple and requires minimal effort so you can keep your techs on cars and not fighting a shitty system.  If your a dealer flagging for warranty is a snap, and managing warranty hours vs Cash vs Internal is a breeze.  ADP also has a very nice scheduling system but is not as adviser friendly.  I feel like everything I did even looking up customer data took an extra step.  Also R&R wasn't bad but it wasn't very good either.  I used Reynolds and Reynolds the least out of all of them, because our dealer needed something better.  Also I think DMS had an app but im not sure, ADP Def had an app that you could access via tablet.
