I just brought home a 2006 Triumph Speed Four with a little tail damage. The bike is in decent condition other than the subframe being warped. But I only paid $350 so it was worth it.

Stupid question - subframe is what holds the seat and tail?  Or what?

Also, is it a problem that is it bent?

Guy about 5 miles away from me put it on craigslist. It had been stolen about a year ago, police returned it 2 days later with  low speed crash damage and wires hanging from the ignition. The guy was disgusted with the whole thing and not being  too handy and without a place to work it, he just wanted to get it out of the way. To answer any questions about the theft, it has a clear title in his name.

Wow...at $350 I'd have bought it in a hearbeat and asked my wife for forgiveness later.

That is a smoking deal.  Either restore or rebuild, it is cheap enough for you to do either.  Check out Customfighters.com for some ideas on a new sub-frame.  I am keeping my eye out for a deal like this to do a custom street fighter, café/brat or bobber build.

Awesome deal!

I picked up last week a decent deal - although not as smoking as yours.  $325 for an 82 Yamaha XJ550 Vision.  Neat bike so far, and in awesome shape.  Guy took very good care of it and had not ridden in in a few years because he lost his body strength with his cancer treatments.  His only condition is that I get it up and running right, and he wants me to stop over and share a beer when it's back on the street.

I loooooove a triple.......

2 years ago I was flip flopping between a Sprint and an FZ1, the FZ1 won the battle.
That is until a few days ago, Saturday I am picking up a 2005 ST......

I have rode the one I am picking up many times and it is smooth as butter, steering input is a bit like work, but I am sure I will get used to it pretty quick.

It already has full OEM bags, and Corbin seat.....

First road trip will be about 3 weeks.....maybe a butt burner to Alabama
