I've been watching this stock for a while and I just don't get it. What am I missing? It's just chicken.

I wish I hadn't looked at that chart. I was planning to buy that stock back in 2012 but forgot about it

The market (i.e. buyers/sellers) make it worth $200.
Food and food supply/chain stocks were my go-to defensive move when the CoVID crash hit. Amid all of the uncertainty at the time, one thing was certain: people still had to eat and they weren’t going to be doing so at restaurants. Generally speaking, food-industry related stocks have some pretty well since the CoVID crash. As for 105%, I don’t know where that’s coming from; SAFM has been relatively flat for a year or so (+23%). |

Quick look;
PE 5.23 EPS 38.65 Growth 5-year expected -10.80% Revenue growth yoy 35.80% EBITDA 1.34 B Quarterly earning growth yoy 231.40% Leverage free cash flow 669.91M IMHO some nice numbers but I don't know why 5-yr. growth is pegged at -10.80% Added: large holders Blackrock and Vanguard All in all, worth a look for me. Personal opinion; chicken has become the low price meat. I don't see that changing. |

Other than that, chicken is cheap protein. I get that. I can't find the data that makes it somewhat more desirable from an investment perspective than some of the peer chicken growers. |
