I need to find out the value of some stock that was purchased back in 1997.  All I have is the number of shares and the date.  I need to find out the present value, the total dividends paid, and total share after splits.

I need to do the same for some mutual funds.

I looked on Yahoo Finance and Google Finance and was able to locate historical data but I'm wondering if there's a site that will provide a concise answer.

Any suggestions?

otcmarkets.com is good if its a pink sheets stock.

I'm pretty happy with Google Finance for the quality stuff.

Otherwise try the actual website for the issuer and call their investor relations office if they have one.

Quicken will do it for you, but I think that CNNFN can do it, and I bet google finance can as well.

Yahoo finance will do it.
