Where can I find good old military maps for doing some land nav? I have looked all over the net and no one in my unit knows where to get them. I need the reg maps, the ones you use protractors with. I forgot their names.

Your unit S2 should be able to supply you with some. Universal Transverse Mercator System.

the tenino map or for your AO? When in theater I just went to the terrain team and they made me whatever I needed. Imagery, CADRG, TOPO, etc and also can plot places on there (probably brings the map to SECRET with this addition)
Also NGA/NIMA (forget what theyre called) has map people as well who can do custom projects and are pretty good to work with.

I dont need any of my AO, we are leaving in 6 weeks after a whole year here

I just want to get some of my hometown for my SHTF bag. Seattle WA and is suburbs is what I am looking for

Have your 2 order it with their map account. shouldnt be all that difficult

You can buy 1:50K UTM maps of local areas here in sporting goods stores. Might want to check that out when you get back.
