I'm using it for a data drive on an extra computer.

I just looked at the SMART info for it.There's nothing unique on it. Once I saw this I looked to see when I had bought it. 11/26/2010.

No reallocated sectors or other issues so use it until it starts having errors.

4 years of power on time isn’t all that much. I have drives in my arrays currently closing in on 8 years.

No, however, a HDD is either fine or it starts throwing errors.  Until you start getting reallocated sectors there's really no reason to replace it.

You should also have backups of all important data...which you do...right?
