Old, old thread, but thought I would update of Abe's.
Had ordered a Nikon D850 during their Labor Day price reduction sale of $500 less than all other purveyors. I surmised given the lesser cost it was a "grey market" offering, rather than Nikon USA.
Of course, three days after the order was placed I received an email from Abe's asking I call to "confirm my order" (Abe's usual procedure) - not a practice done with the more well known and reputable electronics mail order establishments. Calling Abe's I spoke immediately with a CS representative, asked pointedly if the D850 indeed carried an International Warranty, and was told any issue with the camera and it would have to be sent back to Abe's (shipping at my expense) for repair. So obviously, "grey market".
The CS reprentative halfheartedly attempted to seek me an Abe's extended warranty at a 50% discount, which I declined. Without issue the CS rep cancelled my order when asked to do so, and was very polite.
I suspect Abe's is accustomed to having orders cancelled...
