100% crop wide open, canon 7d. no autofocus issues, sharp as a tack. great fast prime that stacks up nicely to the canon L series for a fraction of the price

Nice.

Left eye looks a little noisy, what was your iso?

...that doesn't look that sharp to me...maybe not the lens though? looks like a low-light area. Like the other poster said, what ISO was that shot at?

800 i believe, although it was set to auto iso.

it isn't "l" glass, but compared to some of the horror stories i had heard, i was quite pleased. the 7d isn't known for being razor sharp out of the camera. i haven't post sharpened this; after that it should be pretty good

i was close to the subject at 1.4 as well, the DOF is pretty damn thin, so not everything is perfectly in focus

Firefox has an exif viewer add-on, I just right click on a photo and select exif data.

If you use DPP, you can right click on your pic and select info (or cntrl+I).

I think that looks pretty good for 1:1 crop. After all, it is 18MP.

If anything, it's just showing a little chromatic aberration.

I was thinking about the Sigma 30mm f/1.4 back when I got my first Canon dSLR (XTi). I opted for the Canon EF 28mm f/1.8 instead. That was a fine lens. I sold it though when I bought the Canon EF 35mm f/1.4L. The 35L is nice on APS-C, but even more fun on full frame.
