I've got a TM M4A1 that is making really nasty grinding/whirring noises.  When I look in the gearbox, it appears there's two gears that are stuck, but I think it's more than that.  I have a feeling I've stripped a gear and/or damaged the piston.  Anybody have any advice or knowledge on how to repair this ?  The motor is fine, as is the battery, the selector switch still works, so it's definitely a gearbox issue.

Can you disassemble the gear box and look to see if you have in fact stripped a gear or ruined a piston?

Not sure, never done it before, I'm thinking about sending it off to Airsoft Atlanta for repair, is this a good idea and has anybody else done this ?
