Excellent training. A bit on the pricey side, but top notch.

Enjoy and learn!

Well, here’s my 2 cents.

I’ve taken 3 Classes so far, and I would consider all 3 to be a wise investment.

Both the training and instructors are top notch and down to earth, anyone that’s not close minded can learn.  (IE to pompous, arrogant or show up to prove how good they are )

Guess best way to sum it up is I vote with my hard earned $$$, I am ATM signed up for four more classes before the year ends.

Ive taken 2 classes. Fighting Pistol and Force on Force.  GREAT investments.  If you carry a gun you need to take a class like these.  The Fighting Pistol class opens your mind up to what you need to do to win a gunfight, and then FoF takes it to the next level when you get to apply everything that you learned in FP.  There are other "shooting" school out there, but if you want to learn to FIGHT Tactical Response is one of your best choices.

While I have had no formal training with Tactical Response, I was privileged to be part of an "Alumni" training day in TN (long story) last December. As the new guy, I got thrown to the lions right off when I screwed up, but that slap to the back of the head was exactly whit I needed to get me in the right frame of mind.

I shoot regularly with 4-5 of their alumni up here in WI, and if one were to judge the quality of training based on the character and skill of their course graduates, then Tactical Response is GTG.

Bottom line: Yeager (and crew) are good guys that teach gunfighting very well.  Mindset and tactics are a huge focus of theirs, and I like that.  I would recommend buying JY's "Fighting Pistol" DVD before taking a class to get yourself in focus, and understand what your getting yourself into.

At some point in the future, I will be back down in TN to take a "real" class.

TR's crew is good to go.  If your going to sign up expect to work.  This isn't a lovey dovey class that's gonna look at all your bitching gear and tell you how your the man.  Expect to learn skill set's, tactics and above all the mindset to make the difference at the end of the day.

Your money will be well spent, bring ammo, a positive attitude and a gun that's going to be smoking.

GTG. Train with them. Also add Larry Vickers, Pat Rogers and LMS Defense to your list. Train with them all.

I haven't done a class in Camden, but I did bring Tactical RTesponse up to Wisconsin for Fighting Pistol. Very good class. Well worth the time and money.

FMD sums things up pretty well.

Amazing school.  I've taken Fighting Pistol TWICE in the past year - that's how good it is.

After you take a class with them, you can take the class again for 1/2 price at their home range in Camden, TN.  You can also stay for FREE in the team room in Camden (Yeager's very nice, pimped-out basement).  There are bunks for 12 or so, a sweet flatscreen TV and more "guy" movies than you'll ever know what to do with.

Check out their discussion board: Get Off The X

Their training really changed the way I look at things.  It's worth every penny.

I cannot say enough good about James and his crew. James is a customer of mine and he invited me to spend an afternoon with him, one on one at his range. I was surprised at how much I did not know. He then sent me home with a couple of his videos which are excellent.

James really knows his stuff and lives for what he does. His passion is evident if you ever have the pleasure of meeting him.

Besides their videos and classes, they sell gear as well at Tactical Response Gear.com

As for me ... First post - new here and live in Colorado. Going to start building my own AR soon. You'll see more of me asking stupid question I am sure :)

Great company that provides an outstanding product.

I have been the host for several Tactical Response classes since 2000 (approximatley 20 classes total).  That being said, as host, I was involved in setting up the classes and marketing the classes (ie. filling them with students) that I hosted.  As a host, I don't make a dime off any of these classes.  For my troubles, I got to train for free.

I have taken Fighting Pistol six times and Fighting Rifles six times as well as some advanced classes.  I learned new material every time I took each class.  I would not hesitate to take those classes for a seventh time if the oppertunity presented it's self.

The largest class we did locally was 26 students.  The smallest class we had was 18.

For the last several years the classes I hosted filled to capacity.  Many of the classes were filled to capacity within a week.

In 2001 I started keeping track of how many students were repeat / return students.  On average classes consisted of 50% - 85% of repeat / return students.  I found in many rifle and pistol classes, repeat / return students had already taken the same class 1 to 4 times prior.

I think that the high rate of return students and return students taking the SAME CLASS several times speaks high volumes as to high quality of training provided by Tactical Response.

Jeff makes an excellent point. The number of repeat students should be an indication of the quality of Tactical Response training. If they (the students) didn't feel they got their money's worth (or more) they sure wouldn't spend their hard-earned money at the same place.

Not only do you get top notch training, you will build relationships that will last well after the class is over. Staying with the rest of the students in the Team Room is an important part of the experience. You will learn from the instructors AND you may well learn important lessons from the folks that you share the Team Room with.

If you truthfully are not satisfied with the training, there is a money-back guarantee that as far as I know, not one student has ever taken advantage of.

Tactical Response also sponsors an Alumni weekend every year at the home range in Camden. The only cost is your travel, food, and ammo. This two day event consists of numerous mini-classes, both at the range and in the classroom. Topic content may not be enough to make a full class out of, may be a trial class to help develop new course content, may have guest instructors, etc. The Team Room is not available this weekend because it's reserved for their instructors.

If Camden isn't within your AO, watch the schedule. They travel frequently.

I took fighting rifle with TR and have done some other training with Yeager. If you look back to about November in this forum you should see a review from me although the pics might not be up anymore. Bottom line from me: if you have a chance to train with them take it. The entire cadre is good people and they will push you to improve.

I have taken Fighting Pistol, Fighting Rifle, HRCC shooting package and a follow up Fighting rifle class from Tactical Response.  I have also taken classes from other well known schools as well.  I have yet to take any class that has not given me a new set of mental and physical tools to train with once I get back to my training crew.  I will say however that it has been the Tactical Response classes that have best prepared me with the mindset of trying to become a warrior in every sense of the word.  Those that think being a warrior has to do with only fighting and killing have obviously not taken a class from Tactical Response.
I would highly recommend them to anyone that is looking for intense training that will give you tools to train with on a daily basis.  No class is going to convert you into a good pistol or rifle shooter, that is something you have to take on and practice every day.  The class just gives you the mindset, and drills to open your mind to other skills that must be learned.
Discipline, preparation, and accountability along with a Tactical Response class or two will put you on the right track.
If you have character and show some sincerity and loyalty to your fellow students and staff.... they just may give you some golden nuggets on knowledge learned the hard way... and trust me that alone is worth getting to know the Tactical Response community.
They hold classes all over the world.  You can also host a class at your range if there is nothing close by.

Great school, great instructors. And definitely a value worth the money!

Their philosophy is to teach FIGHTING instead of 'stand on the square range and punch holes'.  You will find yourself pushed to the limits of your skills and beyond, doing drills that will bring a smile to your face as you pick up what they are feeding you.  Each class is sort of like drinking from a firehose - you get tactics, mindset, and training.  You will also get useful information on immediate action medical techniques and legal issues.

If you have the chance to train at Camden or elsewhere with TR, you will not forget the experience.

I've enjoyed the classes I've taken from them and certainly intend to take more.
