Well,,,,I bit the bullet. My son wanted to get into long distance shooting sooooooo.
I placed my order with GA PRECISION for a Hospitaller in .308 with all the bells and whistles. Along with the rifle We ordered a Zeiss Hensoldt 6-24x72 along with Zeiss 85 mm spotter package. Am I on the right track? |
The rifle is fine. By fine I don't mean adequate, but "fiiiiiine." 
The scope has a 72mm objective? That seems like overkill but otherwise you are on the right track. Very nice gear. Get it all set up and learn how to use it. Depending on where you are located there are a couple good places in TX to take a course. Straining at the obvious, I point out that I am available for adoption and will neither shoot a hole in, nor poop on the rug.

| Thanks,,,,This rig is for my son as he asked me to help him get into the sport. He`s a lifelong hunter and we`ve found him some good help at a gun club in Baton Rouge with matches etc. I`m to old to do the travel thing to meets all over. He isn`t. My goal by doing this is to have him surrounded by quality men as he continues to grow into manhood and I can`t think of a better group for him to be in. |

I have a Crusader .308 and it's a phenominal rifle. See ya round the 1000 yd ranges!!  |
