Hey shooters,

I know most of you are probably already members but if not I figured you may want to be.

Thanks!  I'm going to check out my first match this weekend...not shooting yet, just going to observe and talk with some people.  Looking forward to finally trying 3 gun out this year though.

Watching sucks!  Find a Facebook group or forum where the locals talk about your match and borrow some guns and gear and shoot.  We get newbs rugged up with stuff to play all the time.  Last three club matches I had a guy using 90% of my extra stuff to get started.

I have everything needed, well everything enough to just go out and shoot anyways.  My shotgun is just an 870, but that'll do for the time being, not worried about being fast or anything now, just want to give a try and it gives me an excuse to shoot more regularly.

I was told the same thing elsewhere too, just sign up and start, who cares.  My excuse is I haven't even had my shotgun out in probably two years or so, not so worried about the AR or pistol side, but I want to run a couple of boxes through the shotgun at my range before I try it out.  I will most likely sign up for next month's and just get some practice in this year with it...I'm pretty sure I'm going to get addicted since I found a place close by that hosts events every month.  I have a feeling this is going to end up costing me more money than just being into guns in general though...but hey.

We'll see, maybe I'll try to run to the range tomorrow morning with the shotgun, then sign up for the Sunday match still.

You're more prepared the most first timers. Heck I had a guy come all the way from New Zealand for a visit and just so happen to be around on our match weekend. He used all 3-guns he'd never fired before and had a blast!

Just be safe and you're good to go.
