| I was wondering if any of you have a routine you do before you shoot? I have been shooting IDPA about a year and I keep track of my scores. I have been noticing I shoot best on the last 2 or half of the matches. I have about an hour drive to get there and usually get there early to help set up or shoot if I can. Much appreciate input. |

You need to figure out if you perform better with some adrenaline pumping or from a dead calm.
Most people do better if they have their heart rate slightly elevated before the beep. That can come a from a few jumping jacks or jogging to the parking lot or back if it helps. I usually need a stage or 2 to get my act together as well. However I know my issues are mostly mental. |
| Yes I do practice my draw, line of sight and fire at home pretty often (at least once a week usually) Just thought I would see if there was anything specific people did before starting. I didn't get there in time to shoot this time and the long ride can be pretty tough on my old body which takes a while to limber up these days especially my back. I will definitely try and get there earlier. |
