Fellow shooters,
I have just returned home from a trip out to Perry. Commercial Row is open and is looking very healthy, but prices are high: Remington 7 1/2 small rifle primers $199.99/5000 Federal small rifle gold match primers $180.99/5000 R-15 powder $93.99/5 Lb Keg and the list goes on. They have a lot in stock, but again, the prices are higher. So far, out there are: Champion Shooters Campion's Choice Fin, Feather and Fur Sinclair Springfield Armalite and a few of the smaller ones. |

Sir, it's a bit early for me. I won't leave to go there for the highpower phase of the matches until 8/1. The dealers on commercial row usually have fairly competitive prices but the prices do reflect the current market. As you know powder and primers are difficult to obtain throughout most of the country. My experience with most of these dealers, especially Homer Pearson and Co. is that they will make a deal with you if you're buying in quantitiy. I'm sure Bill Gieselle and Doug Giraud will be there but probably about the same time that I do. Great people I wouldn't miss the opportunity to say hi. JMHO, 7zero1. |

That's a 5 Lb Keg...I did so well labeling the primers with" /5000" but forgot to do the powder

Glad to know that there are"NUTS" that have traveled this early to Perry to buy components at these prices! I can only hope that the availability of components and the down to earth prices return when the "REAL" shooters arrive on Commercial Row during the National Matches!

Dave McGrath Not necessarily nuts, but just those that want to make sure that we have what we need for the coming year since so many people that don't need it have prevented us from buying it in regular stores. Plus, I live about 45 minutes away. It's the same distance as going to Gander Mountain or something like that. |

Dave McGrath The national matches started last week. Pistol shooters are "real" shooters, as are smallbore shooters (next week's festivities). |

Well I hope some is left for me when I get there in August. I need to get some just so I can keep shooting because I just started loading and did not anticipate all the craziness. I ended up buying a 1lb jug of RL15 at gun show for $23 because I was that desperate. |

I think Dave was referring to the "masto blasto" type shooters...we've all seen them at the range... http://stuff.orly.ch/img/blog/dont_worry_sir_i_m_from_the_internet.jpg WOW,, something beyond Mall Ninjas. LOL I've heard of such, but have never met an actual one, just the MN's And I bet that's exactly what Dave meant. 'Borg |

'Borg That is exactly what I meant but there are many on this site that just can't wait to bust my balls! Those that are guilty of hoarding, none the less! We have local shooters hurting for components. One has four junior shooters (all girls) that can't practice or attend local matches because of the state matches and Camp Butner come as a priority. Damn shame to say the least. I was hoping that when HP rifle started there would be components left for the non hoarding competitors. Sorry if I offended those that were seen leaving Fur, Fin and Feather with as many as five sleeves (25,000) primers. Also I would like to say in my defence of my comments about my posts here on AR15, the following. When experience speaks, some, usually those who hide behind "handles" can't handle my words because they never have anything positive to offer to or promote the sport of Highpower. Then when experience speaks the truth and calls a spade a spade, the "FOOLS" jump on their keyboards! BTW, I am not going away as asked by the "FOOL" who IM'd me on this topic. May the Commercial Row vendors suffer in the years to come for supporting the "hoarders" rather than the HP competitors! Dave McGrath |

Happy to report one of our junior shooters won the 22 rim fire match. Just one point short of a National record! His name, Lucas Boord! I hope he does as well during CMP week!
Sadly there is a down side. Since this is Camp Perry, Commercial Row thread, he reported there are NO PRIMERS and powder, well he said there were just a few one pound containers of RE15 remaining. This was as of last Saturday! So thanks to the vendors who allowed the internet blamo shooters to hoard and stock pile the components that would most likely would supply the rifle shooters at Perry next year! Dave McGrath |

May the Commercial Row vendors suffer in the years to come for supporting the "hoarders" rather than the HP competitors! Dave McGrath Well, having shot smallbore at Perry for years, I have seen my share of highpower guys look down at the smallbore folks as not "real" shooters. With that, and seeing your none-to-subtle jabs about screen names (the very morons on this site who bother you and hoard primers are the very people I don't want knowing my name), my mistake was easy to make. Shooters were already at Perry when you made that post. Some may want to purchase primers and what not for other rifles - plenty even shoot highpower also. Also, plenty of serious shooters may have reasons to stock up and deep - nobody can be sure when the last opportunity to buy reloading components might arrive. I am curious - are you suggesting the vendors should require NRA classification cards for their sales - or just limit sales to certain smaller quantities per person? |

Now when it comes to Commercial Row in the years of a Democrap president, all the Blamo Whamo Commando's rush to Perry for primers, powder and bullets. Then when the real High Power shooters, excuse me, (non Eley or FACTORY box ammo shooters) who load their own arrive for components for next years matches on the local, state and national levels, most will not get enough or any of the much needed components needed to compete at levels that "WE" high power shooters have done since SEA GRIT!
As to the Commercial Row vendors like Fur, Fin and Feather, the state of Ohio along with Ottawa County got their sales tax, right???? Well Vern at (F,F,F) may give you a hot dog, a ear of corn and a beer to rinse it down with on Saturday, but the real true blue Camp Perry vendors like Champion's Choice, Champion Shooters Supply will forever be my choice when it comes to spending my hard earned $$$ to continue to compete in the sport of high power! Pat's reloading will be at Perry during CMP week. As always, I'll continue to support Brian and his Dad. They come during CMP week to support the high power rifle shooters! Dave McGrath |

Hello from the latrine.
Well, after my run today there is nothing left on Comm. Row. J/k Good amounts of 77 and 80 SMKs @$100/500 count but going fast. RE15 is in good supply but no Varget. Some VV 8# jugs @$190 but not many. Plenty of Lg pistol and rifle primers but Pats seemed to be the only one with Sm rifle (WSR) in any quantity @$190/5k. Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile ETA. Apparently all the Varget is in 1# bottles |
|
I just got back from Perry. I found Varget in 1lb cans at fin n feather. Rl 15 was in good supply. I missed on primers as they were all out of small rifle by the time I got there on Monday. however, I did find small and large pistol and large rifle by winchester. Other than 69 grn Noslers all bullets of the bullets by Sieirra, Hornady, Lapua, and nosler were on hand. once fired brass was there to be had in .308 and .223.

[span style='font-weight: bold;'] BR4 primers on Thursday for $55/1000
Holly Cow Batman! The BR4s were always expensive, but that is just crazy.
I need to do a better job of stocking up when things go back down. Four or five cases when the feeding frenzy goes away. B |
