Power out last night, just came back on a little while ago. Wanted to shoot this morning but the utility guys were here all morning checking all the lines in the building.. Im averaging about one match a month and am shooting in the 440's and was hoping to break inot the 450's before the season ended. I think I'll be able to make one more before I will be wrapped up in archery for the rest of the fall. |

I don't understand what the electicity has to do with missing a match. Get a battery operated travel clock, and a couple flashlights and your good to go. I loose electricty once or twice a month, seems to happen more on weekends. A couple months ago I lost it just before a three day Palma match at Camp Grayling which is driving distance (30 miles). The power was off for the whole three days, I sure didn't sit and wait for it to come back on, I went and shot. I always have everything ready the night before in the truck ready to go in the morn. There have been times I have lost power for over a week, yep its a real pain. I don't mind in the winter because I heat with wood and can put the food outside, but summer there isn't a whole lot you can do for the fridge. I have a portable generator that I run occasionly to try and hold the fridge if I'm home. I also have gas lights plumbed in for backup. |

I live in an apt. I dont let anyone in here while I am not home. |
I don't understand this either. The power goes out for a few hours or a few days, when it comes on, it comes on, notheing you can do about it, Why do you sit around and wait for it to come on? Who do you have to let in? I just go about my business and sooner or later it comes back on wheather I'm home or not, not that big a deal. Last weekend it was off when I left in the morning to shoot, it was back on when I came back that afternoon, I'm still trying to figure out why you would have stayed home and waited. |
