Can anyone advise if the foreend weight sold by Ray-vin will fit the foreend on a Rock River CMP AR with the free float tube or is there another source?  The first one I purchased through Midway, before the rifle was delivered, is way too thick.

Call and ask.  You'll get the correct answer from a qualified person.  Besides, they are good people to talk to.

Works on mine.  Put a few dabs of RTV silicone to hold it in place so they dont drop on your feet when you take the HG's off.  Make sure you put them in the right place in the bottom HG.

Here is the link to answer your question.

Ray Vin products are very good but on the forearm weight, IMHO, the M&D (Martin) as sold by RRA and others is a better way to go. Your RRA will accept the M&D 1 1/4" weight and it will fit nice and tight in the bottom hand guard. No fussing around with foam or anything else. If you find the M&D too heavy, cut off a piece at a time with a hacksaw, starting in the front of the weight.

OK here's the answer to my own question, just for the record. I ordered the Ray-Vin foreend weight over the weekend via an internet order and it was delivered Wed via priority mail. The foreend weight does fit the Rock River Arms LAR-15 NM A2 with VERY minor fitting.  Overall I belive the weight may be just what I want but if my feelings change it is a simple matter to trim off sections until I get the balance that I'm looking for.

yes but trim from the front of the weight in small increments.  i found nthat the full weight works for me.  one in the buttstock too.
