I stopped in a Cabela's and found bulk ammo, standard capacity mags and AR's as far as the eye could see. You could actually buy a PMAG and not get taken down by a SWAT team. Fucking NY. |
|
yep.. when i go to PA, VA, or MO for work. I stop by the local stores and you see everything that nys communist just hates and lots of it..
During the panic buying in MO for the most part shelves were very well stocked with ammo expect for 22lr but i could find anything else with no problem. |

Fucking NY.
I was out of town over the weekend, and walked into a hardware store.....aisle 1 paint, aisle 2 plumbing, aisle 3 electric......aisle 4 had the display case with a couple of AR's and AK and other firearms. Ya know, right next to gardening supplies. Never see that in New Yorkistan. |

Same aisle as the pipes and fittings. |

I remember when woolworths in the mall sold m1 garands and carbines and SKSs Yep, bought my first Lee Enfield in Woolworths at the Eastern Hills Mall in Buffalo (williamsville, really)...walked in, walked out of a fucking mall with a rifle. That was early 90's...so not THAT long ago...they had a nice display of M1 Garands and Carbines, but being a college student they were way beyond my means..the Enfield was like $95... |
When the Woolworths in Watertown was closing (circa 1990) they had a rack FULL of Garands: IIRC they were $199.99 and the store closing had everything at least 30% off.....Had I known then what I know now, the divorce would have long since been settled, CC paid off and I'd have a wall rack FULL of M1 Garands.

"All your "You" Are Belong To Us!!" At least you can jet East for a half hour to make Vermont; problem is there's even less there than where you're at. It's funny all those folks that tell us to "pack up and move" well it just isn't that easy, I've a choice: leave everything that I'VE WORKED FOR behind, or hire a fleet of Tractor-Trailers to haul it to parts unknown.....I don't have a Garage anymore; it's a walk-in tool box.

I bought a Stoeger 20 gauge side by side from the Woolworths in Middletown when they were going out of business for a heck of a discount. My second deer rifle came from Service Merchandise. First one was a Winchester 94 in 30/30 that my Dad gave me when I turned 16, he bought it at Barkers Dept. store. Digging through my ammo stash looking for 30/30 ammo I found a couple of 10 round plastic packs of S&W ammo that was purchased at Mays Dept. store. The price on the packs is $1.99! Ah, the good old days! |

Hell, I stopped at a random gun store driving through nowhere, Idaho in July and was awed by what I saw.

Because, if I buy something out of state, my thought is that it becomes my property when the financial transaction is complete. Therefore, the product is already my own property, and I'm just having it shipped to me. I gotta re-read some stuff first, tho. I use the same rationale when I'm in a store. As soon as I pay for the stuff, it's mine, and no little bingy boopy dingy alarm is going to make me stop at the door, or keep me from walking back thru the store to take a different exit. |

The internet raises interesting interstate commerce questions lake that I'm sure that mail order places like Sears and JC Penny had to deal with the same quandaries when NYS started passing its first gun laws in the early 20th century |

Less than 10 miles away for me, might as well be 500. I do jump across and bask in the feeling of freedom from time to time. Wow! Only 10 miles away? That's not that far from freedom. If I lived and worked only 10 miles away I could move, enjoy freedom, keep my same job in NY and commute. Unfortunately I'm 100+ miles away. |
