I am a mechanic and have issues with my shoulder. I have been doing PT and had a MRI done and am awaiting the results. In the mean time I have been working but limiting the use of my right arm. I have been missing some work due to all these appointments. I have done everything I can to minimize my lost time at work. I am salary and work 42 hours a week the rest of my pay is based off a bonus that doesn't start till I make more money in labor than my salary is. Question is how can they take pay away from my total pay? Last time I missed a day they took it out of my bonus? This doesn't make sense. If I miss time and they take it from my salary my bonus would go up due to the lowering of the salary. They kind of just make it up as they go along. What say you guys?

How did your shoulder issues start? Did your injury occur at home or work?

Well it started with my wrist abut 3 months ago. I had a Ganglion cyst. A little more than a month ago my shoulder started hurting. Went to the doc and they put it under comp. due to repetitive movement. My shoulder feels like it's going to fall off. Keeps me up at night.

If you are losing wages due to a compensable injury. you may be entitled to workers compensation.  You should consult a knowledgable WC attorney -of which there are not very many- it is a real specialty.

As much as I hate doing anything with the State; the Labor Board or Dept. of Labor might have something to say about how you wages are paid. One thing for sure WC doen't pay shit, or take care of anything.

My wife retained a killer comp lawyer in Westchester county. Let me know if you want his name.
