Kind of a random question but...

What does it cost to upgrade a 100 amp service to a 200 amp service on a residential property?  Assuming you're hiring a licensed electrician.

No, thats why he needs to upgrade to 200 amp.  The 100 amp box is shorter than the 200.

I changed my old 100 amp out for a 200 amp .  Was able to reuse breakers but replaced any that were rusted due to water getting in via the cable.  I also replaced the riser cable and cable from the meter to the box.  Depending on the length of the cable, and if you need to upgrade the meter box.  Figure a 1000 as the starting point, and up to 1500-1800 or more depending on how much cable is needed, and the type and size of panel box.

Figure about $2200...thats from the drop to inside the
house...new pipe, cable, meter pan, 200amp panel
and enough new breakers for all your circuits
