Hey guys,
I'm trying to make a second career switch, back into the production world from IT. I have 3 solid interviews lined up for next week for big companies in the WNY area for Production Supervisor roles (same position I used to be in) Just kinda say a couple Hail Mary's or whatever you all say for me because this is the only way Im goin got get some semblance of quality of life. I can't deal with all the super nerds anymore. I need to get back into boots and jeans and make some good old fashioned American product. Thanks dudes...It may seem superficial, but I'm confident every prayer helps here! jim |

Good luck brother. I may be making a career switch in the future as well, so I feel your pain. Hope everything works out for you. Watcha switchin to? also how's the knee? I'm scheduled for knee replacement surgery at the end of this month (oxford partial) and my doc is strongly encouraging me to find a new job, because he feels that I will wear out my new joint pretty fast if I resume my current fast-paced occupation. I will most likely upgrade my license so I qualify for other driving jobs (the kind that don't do 100 stops a day) because I love being on the road and working outdoors. If I can find one stationed closer to home, that would be an added bonus as well. I completely understand your quality of life point because upstate seems be the land of low-paying opportunities. I'm not complaining because I know better jobs are out there if you aggressively hunt for them, but.. thanks NYS Legislature for making this the least business friendly state in the nation!!! |
