Took an 18yo gun rights fence-sitter to the range for the first time today and watched her face light up as the 4 fundamentals of marksmanship gave her a nice tight group. This was my first time bringing a non-shooter, and DAMN was it gratifying to watch her attitude change Prior to today she didn't really comprehend that shooting is way more than pulling a trigger and her first comment was "OMG that was FUN!!!"

Next mission is to convert her mother who has a bit of a self admitted gun phobia but is not an outright hoplophobe and is at least open to having her fears dispelled.

Anybody else have success stories? It's a nice simple step that we can all do to help turn the tide...

My sister was terrified of guns.  Took her shooting a couple years ago and she admitted she had fun and was smiling the whole time.  She preferred the 9mm AR to everything I brought that day (5.56 AR, AK, and a .22).

I don't see her buying a gun for herself any time soon, but it was a start.  She was never against the 2A, though.
