| We'll probably never change the ASSembly but do you think one day would could elect enough conservatives to change the Senate and Governor to the point where they can hold enough legislation hostage as to have the unSAFE act repealed? |

No. Never. Demographics are getting worse, not better. We're fucked and can only hold on as we watch our state and nation circle the drain. I concur, At this moment in time, I just don't see it getting any better. The commies have been running a cold revolution for 80 yrs. |

The first two responses are most likely correct, but I'd like to think that Andy & co. have pissed off enough voters with their 2013 power grab that it may be possible to gain ground in the senate. Perhaps this is just wishful thinking, but I hope not.
As far as the Governor's office goes, the Republicans need to come up with a solid candidate and run a decent campaign for once, and stop putting unknown and/or crazy people on the ballot. Unfortunately this concept appears to be completely foreign to the NYGOP. And then there is the fact that Skelos and the LI senators that betrayed us need to pay, sooo... nevermind. We're fucked. I'll take secession for $400, Alex. |

At least if we win we'll have a (thin) line of defense against the left's anti-gun agenda. If we lose... we can't just accept the loss. In our hearts we know we're right. Our forefathers would have been shooting a long time ago. I'm no advocating violence, but we'll have to do something. What that something is... I don't know yet. |

On the topic, are people still calling Skelos' office? I make it a point to call at least a few times a week to tell him what a piece of shit he is. Yeah, like he cares....
ETA: I feel sorry for people who think we have even the slightest ability to convince lawmakers to actually do the right thing. They just DON'T GIVE A FUCK. We called, we wrote, they just "yeah, yeah, yeah'ed" us and then.... well, we know the rest. There is NOTHING we can do that will be done. Sure, there is something that can be done but nobody is going to do it. |

Civil rights activists protest SAFE Act sponsor And if we martial our resources and run good candidates we can boot some of them out of office. |
