Most likely it was Svante Myrick. Now that's an insider joke, since no one outside Ithaca doesn't know that Obama Jr has no car and walks everywhere, not to mention he is a proud member of Mayors Against Illegal Guns and helped to draft the Common Council resolution supporting the SAFE act |

Ahhh...Ithaca...25 square miles surrounded by reality.
BTW, this sounds like a bigfoot sighting, no way was there ANY car with a BFL in Ithaca... Are you sure it wasn't a flower decal, or a peace sign, or a co-exist bumper sticker on a 96 volvo wagon....maybe a dawin fish???? Stench of some hippie kid making you delusional I bet... |

Well, since there ARE a few of us posting from Ithaca, some of us DO have BFLs |

At least it's not Groton, Moravia or Scipio Center! Grotons the only old school town left in Tompkins...but then they lean more towards being an honorary member of Cortland County anyways They were the only ones brave enough to stand up to the section 8 developers when those guys rolled into town. Imagine what dumping 500 welfare leeches into a village of 2500 would have done to that place. Its been bad enough since DSS started dumping their waifs into Norfes places, let alone adding another few hundred dregs of society |

Isn't there a big apartment complex planned for the FSA in Dryden? That will be great for the community. Yes. The Mayor ( who just lost his re-election bid ) bought the builders hype about it being meant for blue collar working folks. The same company built West Hill Overlook in Ithaca and used the same PR spiel then about nurses, firemen and police needing affordable places to live West Hill Overlook is entirely section 8 housing, as is Linderman Creek, most of West Village, Chesnut Hill Apts, and so will the new Dryden complex. At least Cornell is buying 301 Maple Ave, tearing it down and displacing THAT hive of section 8 Dryden village is examining getting rid of Dryden PD, and the PD is trying to tell them that the new housing complex will require an additional officer just because of the increased call volume. The village has been hesitant to annex the welfare trailer park on North St ( while annexing land all around it ) because of the welfare rats who live there, but somehow they thought plunking a section 8 complex right across the street from their Middle and Senior High School was a swell idea. |

I confess. It was me!
If it was around 5 I was probably headed South on 13 heading home from work. To be honest I didn't really believe anyone within the greater Ithaca area would ever know what the BFL was. You proved me wrong sir. Turns out there are a few of us around. Quoted:

I wasn't going to be more specific about location, but yes, that vicinity. I was behind you at a traffic light in a gray truck ... also wearing a BFL. Quoted:

Is that pizza place still in the Commons? I think it was called Sams or something. I haven't been to Ithaca in years, but I remember that pizza place having good pizza. I don't know about a place called Sams. I generally avoid the Commons due to the human trash that hangs out there The best pizza in town is at the Nines in Collegetown |

It can be sorta interesting during one of the festivals when you have a wide variety of the population moving around Otherwise, I'm usually not interested Hope you managed to clean your sister up |

They get a lot of fights in/around there after the bars close. Like tc556guy, I tend to avoid the Commons, especially after sunset. |

I would be in, but we all need to wear brikenstocks so we fit in and don't arose suspicion. I dont want some dirty hippie spitting on my pizza while lecturing me about recycled hemp. |

It isn't that bad if you travel in groups so you can form a diamond and fight your way out of the crowd of liberal zombies without getting bit. |

Sure a few people have been shot in the parking lot, but it is tough to beat the fully loaded $6 cheeseburger sub. Only one that mattered, and he brought it on himself, no matter how much his criminal brethren want to beat their chest and proclaim how he was in the midst of turning his life around. Quoted:
Ahhh Linderman Creek, aka Landfill Heights, I was so happy to promote out of Tompkins County. You were replaced by a gaggle of purple ties barely out of their teens who cluster together at calls and are still stumbling their way around the county figuring out where all the back roads go to. Quoted:

Crowd got younger and the beers got staler; now it's frat rats and jagerbombs. I still hit the Nines a couple times a year. If it closes that'll truly be a sad day. I did prefer their sister establishment the Chariot when it was open. I haven't seen the interior of the Chapter House since I had an apartment a few blocks away as a much younger person and was able to pub crawl my way home at closing time. I do recall when they were brewing their own stuff and some of their darker concoctions were somewhat like drinking tree bark in liquid form. |
