I am acting as a reference for a "Personal Character Reference Form" for a friend that is applying for a concealed carry permit.
The form asks the following question: Would you please give your personal opinion of handguns and of people licensed to carry them concealed? Any ideas on how to answer? |
| the firearm is a tool of self defense and home protection yadda-yadda, my opinion is someone of a mature, reasonable, and responsible nature should be allowed to carry for any such purpose, yaddda, yadda, I believe (insert friend's name here) represents one such individual. |

Would you please give your personal opinion of handguns and of people licensed to carry them concealed? Any ideas on how to answer? Handguns and the carry thereof are a legal, constitutionally guaranteed right. My opinion of the firearm or of the type of people that wish to carry a firearm hold no bearings on this investigation and should be treated as such. I am filling this questionnaire out to vouch for the good person that MR/MRS _______ is. Thank you. Have you any further questions please feel free to contact me by phone at; ______ Sincerely, __________ |

I assume you are pro-carry, or your friend would not have used you as a reference. On the lighter side, ask them if your opinion counts so much, if you could just go ahead and skip the 4 references bullshit for your own permit. |
