This was a test issued to MBA students at St. John Fisher College:
You're in a room with 30 people. A terrorist has you captive. He makes an offer: all of you write one number between 1 and 30 on a piece of paper. If you all get the same number, you live. If anyone gets it wrong, you all die. Would you know which number to write down? There is a "common sense" number. BTW, the subject MBA students would have died. You wouldn't believe the retard reasoning for some people to pick some numbers. |

You wait until the terrorist is checking the papers then you sneak up behind him and strangle the shit out of him until he dies, then you strangle him for another 5 minutes just to make sure he's dead.
I'd guess 7 but I don't think there's a "common sense" number that would ensure everyone would get it. Although you could also write 1, because it says "write one number" but to be honest I'd probably always write 7 so if those 29 other people didn't write 7 their fucked, unless my strangle plan works out. Or you could beat him to death with a chair, it's common sense knowledge that most rooms have chairs. If it was a sciency crowd you could all write pi to 10 digits 3.1415926535 when he's spending extra time checking to see if the digits match up... wham rear naked choke from behind, see strangle plan from above. |
