Is disassembling a hi cap mag,the same as disabling it . And will then the parts be legal to own ?

Go to your hometown forum and ask. I live in a free state, no disassembly required.

My bet is NO. Write your state legislature and ask I bet they say no.

The body is the magazine. You can keep floorplates, springs, and followers, but NO standard-cap bodies.
