For those of you guys who like a shorter stock, what do have have on your ARs? My favorite / go-to / SHTF / last-one-I-give-up rifle is a Bushy M4gery
that has the factory pinned-in-the-full-open-position fake collapsible stock. I'd like to get an ACE stock for it (either the socom or skeleton) but would like to see what else is available before I buy. Please post some pics of what you've got for a shorty or stubby stock. Thanks |

Ace Skeleton on mine, Long as your rifle's not a bull barrel or piston set up, (I think they tend to be front heavy but that may just be me), it balances nicely. With my T-Rex arms it puts my nose right up to the charging handle.
eta This rifle is chambered in 9mm, don't know if that factors in to your desicion. eta yet again, this is an entry stock, sorry for any confusion. |
| I have a Ace Skeleton stock on my 16" Adams Arms piston upper and love it. I havent noticed it being to front heavy. I just weighed my gun and its at 7.6 lbs unloaded with a eotech on it. I also have the http://www.stagarms.com/product_info.php?cPath=19_28&products_id=373 on my 9mm lower. |

I used an ACE ARFX-E stock when I lived in NY.. and actually just changed it to an M4 stock a few days ago I got thanks to PSA's Labor Day Sale. I loved it, it was comfortable as all hell, especially with the foam pad. It was on a rifle with a 16" M4 cut upper, and a Primary Arms M3 with cant mount mounted as far forward as I could go, and I didn't think it was too front heavy at all. I felt it balanced quite nicely, and it's not really a heavy stock by any means. The only reason I took it off was because I've always wanted to own a telescoping stock, kind of an F-you to NY. And actually, it's for sale now, but I haven't posted it in the EE yet..
Picture because it won't show it |

You need the RRA stubby to match those mini arms of yours! ![]() I said stock NOT cock china man... Peanut gallery comments aside, I have heard about the sully stock on more than one occasion. Those that have one, what do you like about it? It looks all smooth and round like. Is it grippy rubber ala hogue or a little harder ? |
| I've tried several different things, settled on a 3 part combo. The base is a RRA entry or bushy stubby stock (same thing in my view). Add a DPMS 1"extension right behind the receiver. Then, slap an A2 trapdoor buttplate on the stubby to grant access to the hollow inside for storage. It all locks up solid and works great. I add a GG&G sling loop after the DPMS extender. |

Magpul is about to come out with their fixed MOE stock. Although, I wouldn't classify it as a "shorty" stock. It's supposed to be between an A1 and A2 length stock. Just another option. it looks pretty hideous. I dunno. I like it. I think it would look weird on a carbine, though. On a rifle, I think it would look good. |
