The brass knuckles look illegal The folding knives are probably a violation of the city administrative code, which I think limits folding knives to 4" I have that little silver pocket knife with the black bars at the top of the picture. I got it about 10 years ago for subscribing to Outside magazine, it's still in my desk drawer at work. |
| From the story, it appears as if they were busted on the New Jersey side. PA cops generally don't do CMV checkpoints or observations on the NY side, as there is no toll booth that forces trucks to slow down for them to observe. The reason that they were charged with a weapon would be the nucks, chucks, switches and maybe for saying that a tool(the knives) were for protection, which is a big no-no in NJ. Most regular knives are completely legal in NJ. |

I've always wanted a nice pair of brass knuckles, just for the sake of novelty. I see you can buy them as "paperweights" all over the place online.
Are they flat out illegal in NY (not speaking of NYC)? Or if I literally had them on a desk, holding down papers, would that be legal? |

Do NOT attempt to wear that belt while catching a flight our of JFK... I have seen a few arrests for those exact buckles. Bill |
