Legislative Report #23 is now online.
The state legislature is in recess, but there is always the possibility of them being called back for a day or two special session in the fall. |

Quoted: we are all in the wrong line of work. These clowns work what max half a year do squat;. what a scam to say the least, but maybe we dodge the bullet for another year. New Hampshire Legislators get paid $100 per year with no per diam. Every bill introduced in NH is entitled to a public hearing in committee and an up/down floor vote where, god for bid, bills actually get VOTED DOWN. New York Legislators get paid $79,500, plus $171/per full day and $61/per half day, plus up to another $41,500 with lulus. The legoslative process in NYS is controlled by "three men in a room", bills rarely if ever have a public hearing in committee and the two majority leader's have absolute power as to what bills are voted on in the Assembly and Senate. Once again the NYS Legislature will likely win top honors in 2012 as the most dysfunctional legislature in the US. http://ballotpedia.org/wiki/index.php/Comparison_of_state_legislative_salaries http://auburnpub.com/news/opinion/editorial/article_85bd0c02-2c28-11e0-aeb8-001cc4c03286.html |
