How tragic and senseless. Troopers should not be using Tahoes for speed enforcement. They may help with access on less forgiving terrain, but a sedan is a much better choice for traffic enforcement. My prayers go out to her family and fiancé.

It is not necessarily that she was working a speed enforcement detail. Any less than a narcotics officer might not sit by and watch a homicide go by.



My condolences to her families and colleagues.

I remember a similar crash 5 or so years ago on 104/105 in Suffolk where the Tahoe crossed the lines on ice, and the trooper was also killed.
