Same here, I used to go to CB archery indoor range with the kids.
I enjoyed it a lot, til a motorcycle accident in 2009 f@cked up my shoulder.
But I reccomend the hobby to anyone, esp if u have kids.  There are outdoor locations that u can
shoot arrows for free(bring your own targets). I believe one of them is cedar creek park in L.I.

I don't but if you are looking to do so there's an outdoor 3D archery range just south of the Hol-Field gun club. I can't think of the name of it right now though.

There are two 3D fields (one almost a mile in lenght with lots of targets) and a video hunt place within 35 miles of each other here in the Utica area.

I am indeed fortunate to go out my front door and walk 20 yards, turn right and unleash either arrow or bolt into my targets.

I hunt the first week with traditional, then switch to compound for both northern and southern zones!!!!!!!

Hoyt Maxxis 31, I've changed to a QAD drop away rest and Carbon Express Mayhem arrows but everything else is the same.  26.5Inch draw at 64 pounds, 280 fps.

I shoot primarily in my backyard, about ten thousand arrows a year.  I will be shooting more arrows this summer than bullets, I see it as that I can shoot 500 arrows cheaper than 500 bullets but do it in my backyard whenever I want and no one to bother me which is win/win in my book
