Re-read what is considered acceptable proof of firearms training on their list again.  I wouldn't be surprised if a another state's pistol permit, hunting license, DD-214 are on the list of qualifying training acceptable to FL.

The name, address and phone number of the LE agency that took the prints should be written on the back of the card in the upper corner....I don't remember which side.  You can write it in.  Check the instruction booklet.  Mine got mailed back to me so I could write it in.

I had an issue with them not accepting my concealed carry class beacuse it was not an NRA course (and I had no other). They rejected, awaiting the course certification....
I sent them my PA permit with an explanation that I was pursuing an NRA course and was delighted to find a Florida permit in my mailbox a week later. I don't know what changed it, don't care!

Hope that helps!

I'm a little annoyed that out of staters have to jump through the same hoops and get fingerprinted again, etc for renewals.

One reason I'm not going to bother renewing mine this year.

What kills me is they don't even take them, the NYSP do, and from what I recall they don't charge either. $65 for what? Scan them and run them across the FBI database, if they even bother to do that on a renewal.
