I just finished building a pre-ban AR-15, So does my flash hider have to be attached permanently? Thanks guys

just throw it on with a crush washer. The only way it would need to be perm attached is if it was required to be fixed for barrel length requirements.

Only if the total length of the barrel, is less that 16 inches, then the permanently attatched muzzle device must bring the barrel out to 16 inches. This is NYS and Federal Law.
