Beikirch's is the place to go. Their customer service is getting better. They are kind of cold to those they don't know but as they start to recognize you their customer service and attitudes greatly improve. I shoot in a trap league with one of the guys that works there and they really are a pretty good group of guys. If you searched the forum I'm sure you'd see my post from a few months back bitching about them too. As for their store, what aren't you impressed with? Don't forget they are more of a distributor than they are a walk in retail store. What are you reloading for? |

Well, when I walked into the place the first time i felt let down b/c its more of a organized mess then anything else, but I do understand that a lot of there business is distribution and I can appreciate that. i started for 9mm and now working on .223 and 30.06 im driving 45 mins from the west area , so its a trip I have to plan. usually im developing right now so I am just getting 1 pounders in various brands . im not from the area and when i walked in the second time i could really feel the "not from the area" vibe. there is a small shop in caledonia i may try next time. |

If you are talking about Ammo Bee in Caledonia. I have found that he is pretty overpriced. As a lot of the smaller shops around the area are; especially ammo/reloading supplies. Its not their bread and butter and can't order/sell enough to cut prices. So you won't beat Beikirch's prices anywhere(maybe online)...and they are not as disorganized as they look. They just have a lot in a small space. You want to see a gun "mess" go to Chinappi's (sp?) in Spencerport. That place boggles my mind. Yes it does take a few trips in the shop to get more of a warm welcome. I still find times that they give me the, ignore the guy that's just looking around stuff. But they always take the time to look up prices when asked. |

I can understand how you feel about Beikriks; however for reloading in the Rochester area they're it.
They could probably hire another 5 guys to work the counter and keep them all busy. I know they don't always have that huge toothy grin and say "How can I help you today sir?" I'm ok with that; they did have primers when NO ONE else did a few years ago. They have by far the largest amount of reloading supplies in Roc. Give em another try. (10 AM so they've had their coffee or 1 PM so they've had their lunch... ) Remember they're closed Mondays.
