| I've got a chance to buy a Colt Sporter II rifle. It's a 16 inch carbine, collapsible stock, pencil barrel, slab side lower with serial number of SP339XX. Asking price is $1200. I'm curious what these are worth. It's in 95% or so condition, with flashider and bayonet lug. I'm in a non-ban state, but curious what these bring in New York in case I need to unload it down the road. |

A five digit s/n would be an SP1 model and not original as shipped from Colt. |

If so the description above doesn't preclude it from being one of those. http://imageevent.com/willyp/firearmsalbums/uscoltarmalitem16ar15556/coltsp1carbine;jsessionid=4dhnh4y6q2.penguin_s |

If I were to guess, it is probably an AR-15 SP1 Carbine but I do not recall when Colt started making those. The lower is definitely 70's. |
