I was looking at fake suppressor on spike's tactical and wanted to know is a fake suppressor a no no in NYS?

This, but aside from looks they are useless. I would spend the money else where on the rifle, maybe on something that will add to its performance.

They have their uses, such as extending a barrel's length to the legal limit.

I looked at a fake flashhider too...I'm moving to NY..I went with a panther compensator for my middy build.

If I went the rout of getting one it would have to be permanently attached right? NYS doesn't allow any rifle to have threads?

threaded barrel is an evil feature. So if you already have 1 evil feature (see tacked thread about the NYS AWB) you must perma attach the fake suppressor.
