From the way the OP is talking, he may even have a hard time getting a Bobcat to were he wants to build, soo like i said supply the beers man, beer per wheelbarrow load, and its for a good cuase too :)  ( maybe sever the beer after its built and we get to shoot a bit, i know i wouldnt want a bunch of drunk stragners on my land with guns )

I'd say if you can't get a bobcat in there, its probably not gonna get made.

Slaving on a shovel and wheel barrow is going to make a cute pile of dirt,,,,at the end of the day you need EARTH and quite a bit of it to make a good backstop.

Don't work hard, work smart.
Machines > shovels and wheel barrows (unless you follow the commie method of using 50x more people than you need just because you have a crap ton of people and don't care what your losses are).
