| I have an SKS that I bought in 1990,so it's pre ban I guess. Can I legally put a Tapco stock set on it with a pistol grip and collapsable stock in the great state of New York ?? |

So I bought the gun in 1990,if it is newer than 1996 it has to have US made parts on it to be compliant??I don't remember seeing anything say US on it?? I currently have'nt seen the rifle in years but was thinking about getting it back, maybe to much of a hassle than it's is worth.... |

There's more than enough US parts to easily swap in to get your foreign parts count down to 10 or less. |

I bought a Yugo last year but it was made well before the 922(r) requirements. I can;t remember the date but I am sure it is in tacked thread up top ETA: http://thegunwiki.com/Gunwiki/BuildSKSVerifyCompliance I cannot find the date for when 922r is required. |
