I am getting ready to start my first build. I am going to be getting a spikes stripped lower or SI defense lower. I know that the collapsible stock and muzzle brake need to be pinned in place, ..but can you order the parts and have them (just not put together) and still be within the law? how do you go about that?

Yes. Those are just parts. The lower receiver itself is the firearm, so as soon as you attach any of those things to the lower, then you are running afoul of the law.

Ok, that clears that up but one last question..if I can find true preban 30 round mags I can legally use them in a postban gun, correct?
