CTD may have shipped 12rd Kel-Tec P11 mags straight into NY (to my uncle's friend's brother's roommate of course.) While anything over 10 is illegal, I really can't see anyone getting hit up for a 12 round mag unless you robbed a bank or something and the DA was trying to nail you with whatever additional charges they could. |

Do you truly believe that if someone is committing a felony*, it may be overlooked if you were only caught because you were originally arrested for something considered a lesser crime? I just find the logic flawed. Almost like it's okay to break the law as long as it's one you don't agree with and only violate the letter of the law slightly. 12 rounds = over 10 rounds = PMITA Prison! I think a lot of laws suck but I still obey them because it puts society on an even keel, by and large. Obviously, the BGs don't obey the law so it gives them the advantage. I also think it sucks that NYS wants us to be less prepared than those who mean us or our loved ones harm. I still obey those laws, too. Probably one of the best reasons to get into law enforcement, the ability to carry 24/7 (mostly). * = § 265.02 Criminal possession of a weapon in the third degree - a class D felony. I've been told at a CCW class taught by the local police that if you want high-caps just go to PA and grab some and bring them back... I've seen so much crap at gun shows that are illegal in NY... I (before finding out it was illegal via ARFCOM) put my AR rifle on my pistol permit so I could turn it into a pistol variant, and explained this to the officer in charge at the PP office and he told me to go for it (its still on my PP btw). My point is, there is so much misinformation out there about what is legal and what is not, and there are so many people breaking the law unintentionally, and I've yet to read a story about anyone getting in trouble for ONLY having a post-ban high cap or an AR with 1 too many evil features. I'd put money on the worst thing happening to you plead ignorance and your 12rd mag gets confiscated. In the end, live your life with the risks you're comfortable with, YMMV, ect. |

That Glock 19 ban state mag was a royal bitch to remove the floor plate on (virtually impossible without FUBARing the mag) to open up unlike any of my other non "ban-state" Glock mags? |

Yup. Its not really that much different (in as much as the in-ability to fully strip down the mag) than the GSG-5 10rd mags sold by ATI. They are also impossible to completely disassemble due to their "ban state" design. But I'm not a GSG5 "certified armor" so I guess take that with a grain of salt as well. |
