Legal.  I don't even think the muzzle brake is threaded.  Even if it is, that's still allowed, since it's the only "qualifying" feature (the rifle has no pistol grip or collapsable stock).

You can get 15-round mags for it, as well.

it turns out the store im buying this from has a scout and a socom both matte black, the socom is $100 more which should i go with

16" barrel over an 18" barrel. I had both but sold the Socom as I liked the Scout better. Just felt better to me in my hands. Socom was just too short for the .308 cartridge IMHO.
